Natural Power are a leading international renewable energy consultancy.  We provide expert services to the renewable energy industry in the development, construction and operational phases of renewable energy projects.  To facilitate the growth of our Asset Management business we are currently recruiting a Wind Farm Caretaker as part of our UK Asset Management team to assist in monitoring Arnish Moor Wind Farm near Stornoway.  

The Team

Our team provide management services on approximately 520 MW of wind energy, over 10% of the UK’s installed capacity.  We manage sites for utilities and independent power producers and are proud of our record in providing excellent Health & Safety management on wind farm sites, leading the industry in developing innovative procedures, systems and management tools for operational Wind Farms.  Our wind farm managers on the ground are supported through WindCentreTM, our central management and control team who are in regular communications with our regional teams throughout the UK.

The Opportunity

[We are looking for a Wind Farm Caretaker for Arnish Moor Wind Farm, near Stornoway.] Reporting to the Head of Site Management your role will be to complete a weekly site inspection and download data from the site server, providing a report back to our head office in Dumfries and Galloway.

You will also be expected to be able to visit the site within a day of being notified of any problem on site to report back on the conditions of the turbines i.e. are they operational. You will not be expected to carry out any maintenance work to fix the problem just report back any issues you can identify on the ground.

Who we are looking for...

You will be able to demonstrate that you are a pragmatic person, and trustworthy for working remotely and providing the weekly reports. You should be comfortable with MS Word for reporting and email for communicating with the team.

You will be a self motivated individual able to effectively communicate at different levels with a variety of people in a distributed team.

Remuneration

We will pay an hourly rate for the hours worked. Your mileage to and from the site will be reimbursed.
