Natural Power are a leading international renewable energy consultancy. We provide expert services to the renewable energy industry in the development, construction and operational phases of renewable energy projects. To facilitate the growth of our Asset Management business we are currently recruiting a Client Relationship Coordinator as part of our UK Asset Management team.
Our team provide management services on approximately 1200 MW of wind energy in the UK and Ireland. We manage sites for utilities and independent power producers and are proud of our record in providing excellent commercial Health & Safety management on wind farm sites, leading the industry in developing innovative procedures, systems and management tools for operational Wind Farms. Our wind farm managers on the ground are supported through WindCentreTM, our central management and control team who are in regular communications with our regional teams throughout the UK.
Reporting to the Wind Centre Manager, your primary role will be to ensure we continue to meet our contractual obligations in the management of smaller wind farm sites of less than 10 wind turbines distributed throughout the UK. In doing so you will liaise with the client on a regular basis, attending contract review meetings and addressing operational issues on a day to day basis. You will also be responsible for liaising with new clients for implementation of new contracts and you will be expected to support the Wind Centre Manager in the supervision and management of our operational controller team.
Technical: Following training you will be expected to develop the skills required to manage the High Voltage (HV) operations on site. You will be expected to achieve Site Authorised Person (SAP) status for HV management up to 33kV within 18 months. You will be willing to work at heights of up to 80m for the inspection of Wind Turbines. You will be expected to obtain a good understanding of the main systems and components within both types of wind turbine on the site.
Administrative: You will work with our wind centre team to ensure all works on site are effectively planned. You will manage operational budgets and complete reports for the site owner.
Health and Safety: You will review safety documentation and personnel capabilities as required in advance of any site works, performing audits and checking the operations of contractors on site. In the absence of the Site Manager you will have full responsibility for maintaining H&S on all sites.
You will be a self motivated individual able to effectively communicate at different levels with a variety of people in a distributed team.
The position will primarily be based at our head office located near St John’s Town of Dalry, Castle Douglas with requirements to visit the wind farm sites periodically. You may be called upon to support other operations in the UK and should be prepared to spend several weeks a year, working away from home as needs arise.
You will be able to demonstrate significant previous engineering qualification and experience with knowledge of the major electrical and mechanical components. You will be expected to have a strong awareness of health and safety with the strength of character to manage the safety of contractors performing maintenance and inspection works. A formal safety qualification would be an additional benefit. You must have excellent communication skills, computer literacy and administrative skills are essential. As is an ability to work closely with clients in a confident, personable and approachable manner with a flexible approach to meet client’s needs.
You must hold a full UK driving licence and will be able to maintain a reasonable level of personal fitness for the safe climbing of Wind Turbines.
The head office is located on the Forrest Estate near St John’s Town of Dalry in Dumfries and Galloway.
