HV SYSTEM MANAGEMENT

Natural Power are experts in the management of wind farm High Voltage (HV) systems and currently do so at voltages up to 132kV. We have wind farm managers and technicians trained to SAP level throughout the UK, certified and authorised to switch, isolate and earth HV equipment on specific wind farm sites, preparing permits to work, ensuring the safety of contractors and ensuring your wind farm HV network remains safe, secure and operational. We will typically commit to an emergency response to site within 4 hours of any HV network outage minimising the downtime and significant loss of revenue often associated with a grid outage.

Our wind farm managers operate with health and safety as a priority typically under Natural Power’s own HV safety rules or through certification to operate under those of a client.

Natural Power can perform the function of duty holder for the wind farm HV network and can be first point of contact with the Regional Electricity Company or NGET with WindCentre providing the 24/7 contact point.

HV services can be provided independent of wind farm management but this service will require specific wind farm setup and training to be put in place prior to any request for assistance. HV services can also be provided as part of our portfolio of wind farm management services.
