At the core of Melogale™ is a sophisticated downtime analysis tool, aiming to give a
clear picture of all turbine activity from commissioning to the present day.
This includes:
Software pre-processing
- Identification of turbine failure timings
- Meteorological analysis
- Grid availability
- Application of pattern-matching algorithms to SCADA data
Operator post-processing
- Alterations to meta-data according to on-site reporting
- Categorisation of failures according to subsystem and contractual definitions
- Derivation of new algorithms to improve pattern-matching
- Verification and cross-checking of available data
Finally, meteorological analysis is applied to give an accurate, benchmarked
picture of gains and losses so that every last kilowatt-hour of the budget can be traced.
Product features include:
- Post-construction Yield Analysis, by
re-evaluating projected yield figures for sites with reduced uncertainty,
which can permit a release of equity as well as refining annual budgets
to reflect the known performance of a site
- Downtime Analysis providing in-depth information of
events leading to the loss of production, correlated with meteorological
data, allowing prioritisation of maintenance operations, early identification
of serious faults and improved decision making
- Budget Deviation Analysis evaluating site operations
against the projected budgets for the site along with associated
uncertainty reported for turbine downtime, turbine performance and wind
distribution
- Warranty Calculations enabling site owners to derive
complete and accurate warranty claims
