We are skilled in a variety of resource modelling methods, including validated desk-based and mesoscale wind resource mapping tools. We supply the ground-based ZephIR® laser anemometer system which allows our clients to gather on-site wind data up to 150 metres without the need for gaining building permits for masts. In addition, use of VENTOS® CFD flow model* allows the early prediction and assessment of essential wind quality issues such as turbulence intensity and wind shear.
These tools allow us to provide our clients with the best possible early indication of the wind resource potential and technical feasibility of sites, and to design and undertake a detailed resource assessment campaign that addresses wind quality and quantity issues with increasing resolution as the project progresses.
