Of some 150 tendered projects under round two of the Scottish Renewables Order, the Deucheran Hill wind farm in Argyll was one of only 7 contracts awarded, of which 5 proposals (including Deucheran Hill) were developed by Natural Power on behalf of Powergen Renewables (now E.ON UK Ltd).

At the time of construction, Deucheran Hill’s nine 1.75MW turbines were the most powerful in the UK.
