We’re proud to announce the appointment of Matthew Kelly as our Director of Operations and Asset Management, which also sees him join our global leadership team.
Matthew has been with Natural Power since December 2024 as Head of Asset Management and has more than a decade of experience in the renewables sector across a 4.5GW portfolio of wind, solar and storage. He previously worked for Natural Power in 2014 and 2015 as a wind farm site manager.

Our operations and asset management department provides end-to-end support to maximise the performance, reliability and compliance of renewable energy assets worldwide. This is achieved through a fully integrated, client-focused provision of services through our specialist office and field-based teams. Asset management, HV engineering, WTG O&M, performance analytics, operational control and control point services are fully supported, with our in-house renewable energy experts working together to deliver best-in-class service.
- Our 24/7 ControlCentre operates 365 days a year, managing >11.5GW of renewable energy assets for Natural Powers clients, across onshore and offshore wind, battery storage, solar, hydro and grid systems. Emergency response is coordinated via our operational controllers, with regular drills in conjunction with clients and on-site teams. Our control point technicians provide grid code services, liaising with NESO, DNO and PPA partners to provide best-in-class services.
- Our service operations team operates and maintains more than 300 wind turbines, minimising downtime by ensuring routine and reactive maintenance is efficiently and safely planned and performed. The dedicated service technicians are backed up by engineering and technical support and work safely under our Natural Power WTSR.
- Expert analysis and advice are provided by our performance, reliability and optimisation team, ensuring that data is collected, interrogated and benchmarked, with opportunities for increased performance identified and acted upon, either by our service teams, clients, or our asset managers.
- The asset management team is responsible for >4.5GW of installed assets, with office-based asset managers acting as a single point of contact, coordinating closely with on-site teams to plan and oversee inspections, maintenance, HV network management and operations up to 400kV - captured through detailed operational reporting. With a focus on commercial and contractual compliance and delivery, clients are supported across wind, battery storage and solar systems.
