Underpinning a major portfolio financial refinancing, Natural Power, acting on behalf of the lending group, has provided technical due diligence to support Reden Solar’s refinancing of its pan-European portfolio of solar assets, with significant additional pipeline capacity.
Comprising multiple operational and construction assets, the geographically diverse portfolio reflects the continued growth of large-scale solar deployment across key European markets.
We delivered a comprehensive technical due diligence review of the portfolio, assessing key project risks, performance assumptions and long-term operational considerations. The scope of work formed a critical component of the transaction process, providing independent insight to support a robust evaluation of the assets.
William Delabre, Head of Solar at Natural Power, said: “This transaction highlights the continued growth and maturity of the European solar market, where investors are placing increasing emphasis on robust, independent technical insight. By combining detailed technical due diligence with a strong understanding of operational realities, we were able to support a well-informed investment decision.
“As portfolios scale across multiple sites and geographies, having a consistent and rigorous technical approach is essential to ensuring assets deliver both performance and long-term value.”
Our services on this project included detailed energy yield assessments encompassing reviews and validation of production forecasts alongside site-specific technical evaluations. The team also reviewed design specifications, construction quality, operational performance and maintenance strategies across the portfolio. In addition, a targeted analysis was undertaken to assess the robustness of financial model assumptions and alignment with expected technical performance.
Frank Demaille, Chief Executive Officer of the REDEN Group, said: “This refinancing sets a new pace in REDEN’s growth. By streamlining our financial structure and establishing a pan-European platform covering our operating assets, we are strengthening our ability to execute our strategy with focus and agility, and supporting our contribution to a more resilient, low carbon energy system in Europe.”
Our involvement here demonstrates our capabilities to support complex, multi-asset solar transactions across international markets, combining deep technical expertise with commercial awareness to provide investors with confidence in asset performance and future returns.
