Community benefits 2.0: developing new partnerships to decarbonise heat in the community
In many ways, rural communities face a hard struggle when it comes to decarbonising. Remoteness and scale close off many of the options open to urban areas, and higher costs tend to apply to the options that remain. Meanwhile, in many places, fuel poverty is widespread, with the impact of the age and often poor condition of building stock compounded by lower average salaries.
