Head of Advisory Chris Ziesler is presenting a poster on Validating Regional WRF Modeling for Offshore Wind Assessment at the Offshore WINDPOWER Conference & Exhibition in Boston, MA, October 3-4, 2023. The poster aims to understand the benefits of using WRF meso-scale models and calibrated against available offshore meteorological data sources to determine the wind resource across an area of development interest and use WRF output data sets that NREL made publicly available to help characterize wind resource for their particular project area.
