Ornithological Cumulative Assessment Model (OCcAM)

The Ornithological Cumulative Assessment Model (OCcAM) is designed by the teams at Natural Power and SSE Renewables as a simple, user-friendly and transparent Excel-based tool allowing rapid prediction of seabird mortality arising from collision and displacement at offshore wind developments. The tool can be used to generate predictions on a range of spatial scales including broad-scale indicative cumulative impact estimates based on publicly available seabird density data and generic parameters, to fine-scale project-only predictions which can be used to understand risk associated with project design parameters and as a starting point for early stakeholder consultation.  Read more about the project here.

Our team welcomes feedback to help us continuously improve on the tool, please submit any comments on improvements to the tool in the form below and one of our team will be in touch.
