40GW solar deployment by 2030: Webinar

Leading renewable energy consultancy and service provider, Natural Power, is sponsoring the forthcoming All-Energy and Dcarbonise webinar ‘40GW solar deployment by 2030’ which takes place from 14.00hrs to 15.30hrs on Thursday 16th July.

Register to attend here.

The webinar will be chaired by Chris Hewett, Chief Executive of the Solar Trade Association, and features a range of expert speakers including Chris Clark, Chair of STA Scotland, and Hannah Staab, Principal Advisor, who leads Natural Power’s European Advisory team. Hannah will be talking about the life extension of solar farms and best practice for designing and maintaining solar farms to reach 30+ year lifetimes.

Webinar theme

Solar is a powerful job creator and an inherently rapid technology to deploy, as well as one of the cheapest forms of power generation today. With the right policies, the solar industry can support the UK recovery by creating thousands of skilled jobs, adding billions in value, and delivering on Britain’s climate change ambitions. Join our panellists to find out how we can unleash the power of solar, including floating solar, as part of a green recovery.

Any green stimulus package must unlock solar's recovery potential and support our industry's efforts to decarbonise and tackle climate change. The Solar Trade Association is calling on government to commit to a target of 40GW solar deployment by 2030 and to work with industry to deliver this target by enacting the policies outlined in its Priorities for a Renewable Recovery Package.

Event Director Peter Bloor of Reed Exhibitions.

“The eight webinars we have held so far have attracted just over 6,500 registrations and high numbers of attendance on the day. We have also received positive feedback on the relevance of the issues being covered and the high level of speakers we have attracted.

“Webinars are now a permanent fixture on our calendar leading up to the ‘live’ event in November and beyond! The first eight are online at https://forum.all-energy.co.uk/category/on-demand and can all be watched free of charge.”

All-Energy and the co-located Dcarbonise conference and exhibitions were due to take place during May and have been rescheduled to Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th November 2020. Natural Power is sponsoring the Power Club at the live event. Further information and visitor registration, visit www.all-energy.co.uk
